The K-9 Bike Jogger has been designed primarily for the professional dog training industry as a tool for maintaining fitness and endurance training for dogs. However, you, your family and your dog can also enjoy the benefits of the K-9 Bike Jogger while riding your bike. We suggest that you take a moment to read through the following and familiarize yourself with the K-9 Bike Jogger, its proper use and most important…you and your pet’s safety and well being while using this product.

1. When using the K-9 Bike Jogger, always make sure you have a healthy dog that is capable of exercise and slow pace running. Check with your local vet or professional trained to make sure you have a healthy dog that is ready for active workouts.

2. When using the K-9 Bike Jogger, your dog should be at least 6 months old and over 20 lbs. If you have concerns about your dog’s health and/or ability to use this product, please consult with your vet and/or a dog trainer in your area.

3. Choice of collar or harness. It is recommended that a regular collar be used with the K-9 unit. However, a harness may be used if you have a very well mannered and obedient dog. Never pull on a dog that is resistant or non-compliant while using this product. We do not suggest using a choke collar or pinch collar as you could cause damage and/or injury as a result from such use.

4. When first starting out with the K-9 Bike Jogger, we highly recommend that you familiarize your dog with the unit by first walking (not riding) for 5-10 minutes with the dog attached. This will allow your dog to become comfortable and at ease with the operation.

5. While out riding, with the K-9 Bike Jogger, always keep your dog well hydrated and be aware of his/her fatigue level. Some dogs can run longer than others, start out slow and gradually build up to his/her comfort level. Never run/ride your dog on days of excessive heat/temperature.

6. It’s very important to keep an eye on your dog’s pads, make sure they are in good shape, especially, if you are riding on hard bike paths and the like. Never ride on surfaces that would do harm to your dog’s paws.

7. If you have any questions regarding the use of this product, please feel free to contact us directly or call your local vet or licensed dog trained. Always, obey all local laws and ordinances that may govern the use of this type product in your area.

8. The K-9 Bike Jogger bike leash system should not be used by persons under the age of 14 and parental supervision should accompany those under the age of 17.

9. When using the K-9 Bike Jogger the rider must be at least 40 lbs greater in weight than the dog using the device.

10. The K-9 Bike Jogger is not a toy nor should it be considered as one. As mentioned throughout our various information sections, the use of this product requires your general understanding and knowledge of your pet’s capabilities, physical condition, adaptability and obedience.
